We would like to sincerely thank all of you who have had children attend Outreach for Earth Stewardship summer Raptor Camps. We are proud that the camps have proven so successful and popular.

It is with regret that we are forced to suspend camps for the summer of 2008 due to the increased expense of gas and vehicle rentals. Renting vans for field trips and transporting the children between the classroom, the lake, and the Raptor Care Facility is a necessity for our campers. In previous years we have managed to break even. Last year, the vans alone cost OFES in excess of $2000, which was more than we had budgeted. However, in an effort to keep your tuition affordable we operated at a loss.

OFES is currently exploring options that will allow us to resume our quality Raptor Camps again in 2009 and beyond. It is extremely important for us to provide continuity for those who have attended camps in the past and this decision was not an easy one for us to make.

We apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience this causes you. OFES appreciates your continued support and we welcome your input as well as suggestions you might have.
