OFES Summer Camps


Located on Shelburne Farms, Outreach for Earth Stewardship (OFES) is a non-profit, licensed wildlife education organization & Raptor Care Facility dedicated to linking people to nature through experience. In the summer of 2010 OFES is excited to offer week-long day camps for young ornithologists interested in exploring bird life in the Champlain Valley and beyond.  OFES’s team of professional educators and wildlife biologists will introduce your children to birds and their role in our world.  Live interactions with the OFES ambassador birds allow for a unique and unforgettable summer experience.  OFES camp programs for the summer of 2010 are:

Hatchling Camp- $325


Ages 6-8

July 5-9

For the junior bird-lover! Hatchlings will take part in games, crafts, stories, and daily encounters with the OFES ambassador birds. Learn about the unique characteristics of birds, the lives they lead, and what they do when we’re not looking!
 

Nestling Camp-$350



Ages 8-10

July 12-16

For the emerging bird ecologist. Discover how birds fit into the world around us. Campers will work directly with the OFES ambassador birds and camp counselors to explore the exciting field of bird ecology and behavior.

Fledgling Camp- $350


Ages 10-12

July 19-23

For the up-and-coming raptor enthusiast. Are owls wise? Are eagles lucky? Birds of prey have captivated the imagination of cultures around the world. Work with the OFES ambassador birds and counselors to explore the relationship between raptors and humanity.
