Outreach For Earth Stewardship

Founded in 1989, Outreach for Earth Stewardship's mission is to strengthen respect and understanding for wildlife through education. OFES offers unique education programs that stimulate the mind and heart with the help of live raptors who serve as wild ambassadors. OFES possesses licenses from the State of Vermont and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Department to offer these programs and to engage in rehabilitation activities. The organization formed a partnership with historic Shelburne Farms in 1997 and is headquartered on the farm. Outreach for Earth Stewardship relies solely on a dedicated core of volunteers and financial support of the community for its day to day operations.

Outreach for Earth Stewardship was a participating partner in the Vermont Bald Eagle Restoration Initiative that took place in 2004-2006 at Dead Creek WMA in Addison, Vermont. Check out the link for information regarding the project. If you have an eagle sighting in Vermont we would love to hear about it. Report your sighting to vtbaea@comcast.net
